Almost Lotería PRE-ORDER - Game for Teaching & Learning Mexican History & Culture (Party Pack)

The Party Pack includes 3 items: the Almost Lotería GAME itself; a package of TEACHER RESOURCES, and a pack of PRIZES (PRE-ORDER)

THE GAME - 54 Original illustrations depicting different aspects of Mexican and Mexican-American history and culture. Almost Lotería can be played in the classic bingo style of lotería, but elements of trivia and team-building challenges can also be incorporated for deeper, more interactive learning. 

Cards include political topics such as the Mexican Revolution, the Zapatistas, the Chicano Movement, as well as arts-based cards including Chicano Park, Los Tigres del Norte, and Rage Against the Machine. Multiple Indigenous languages are also interwoven into the game through concepts like Iwígara (Rarámuri) and Tata Juriata (P'uhrépecha). At its core, this game constellates Xicano diapora by exploring the relationship between figures, concepts, and practices from ancient Mesoamerica to modern Xicano art and activism. 

PRIZES

Offering prizes to players is a great way to raise the stakes and engagement in the game. 25 small prizes are included along with the game itself: mostly stickers, with some other small surprise items mixed in as well. 

TEACHER RESOURCES - The digital expansion includes the following: 1 long-form video with tips for how to use this game; additional challenge prompts and trivia questions; a comprehensive bibliography of sources containing more information about each of the concepts presented in the game through the 54 play cards; a growing list of direct links to short-form videos on social media that delve into the topics, figures, and events presented in the game (great for assigning to students!)

Note that this is a pre-order that will help me determine how many copies of the game to have printed. I anticipate games will be ready to be shipped by November 2026, if not sooner.
